ALLAN, David

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Allan. He passed away at home on May 4, 2019 in Chateauguay, QC.
Beloved husband of 53 years of the late Donna Allan, cherished father of Kim (Carlo) and Kathy (Shane) and loving grandfather to Savannah, Matteo, and Angelina, brother of the late Barbara (Robert) and late Richard, brother-in-law Gordon (Trudy), nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.
Before working at CN, Dave was a U.S Marine, but spent most of his career at Avon Canada where he meets his late wife and many wonderful friends who he still kept in touch with up until he passed. He was an avid gardener and reader and spent many mornings playing squash, racketball and tennis before going to work. He enjoyed playing hockey as a goalie and then later, went on to coach a local Chateauguay team. Dave’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, whether it be on vacation, playing games or just at home in the backyard.

On Thursday, May 9th, 2019 from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday May 10th from 12:30 to 1pm. A commemorative service will follow in the Chapel from 1 to 1:30pm. There will be a celebration of life from 1:30 till 4:30 in the reception hall of the parlor.
In lieu of flowers, donation in David’s memory can be made to Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada (www.phacanada.ca).

Denzil (Bob) and Barbara Coull were very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We extend our sinceres condolences to Donna and family. Although we hadn't seen Dave in a long time, we enjoyed his e-mails and occasionally his jokes. May he rest in peace.
