From Bainsville Ontario, our beloved husband, father and grand father Gaston Barrette passed away on March 1st. He leaves behind his wife for 50 years, Lucille Wood Barrette, his daughter Michelle (Dr Yves Bergeron and her sons Guillaume et Louis Antoine Larose) from Montréal, Louise (Me Dominic Larose and her children Julien, Mathieu and Marilou Larose) from Longueuil, his son Jean-François (Stéphanie Daoust) from les Cèdres and 5 great-grand children Olivier, Félix, Jules, Charlotte and Simone.
Family doctor since 1956, he practiced more than 25 years in Hudson and at Lakeshore hospital, then at the readaptation Center Lindsay (known now as Centre de readaptation Gingras Lindsay) of Montréal.
Family will receive condolences on Saturday, May 6th, at Complexe Funéraire Alexandre Nicole, 96 Boul. St-Jean Baptiste Chateauguay, Québec, from 10 am to 2 pm. A light lunch will be served. Burial will then take place at the cemetery of the parish of Ste-Philomène in Ville Mercier
At his request, a friendly meeting will be held at the Whitlock Golf Club in Hudson on May 11th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Gaston was a member of the Club for more than 50 years and had many friends there whom he saw regularly, even until very recently. His children would be happy for his Whitlock friends to share their fondest memories of Gaston with them.
A donation to the Kidney Foundation in his memory and in support of his grandson Julien will be appreciated by the family.
