Voici les détails de l'avis de décès pour
KOUROUMALIS, John
2018-11-02
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing on November 2, 2018 of our much beloved Ioannis (John) Kouroumalis.
He will be missed by devoted wife of 56 years Kyriakoula Drymonakos, and children Garyfalia Litsa (Mike Spiro Sakellaropoulos), Georgia (George Karelis) and Apostolos Panagiotis, grandchildren Michael-John Sakellaropoulos, John and Maria Karelis, his brother Anargyros (Gerry), sister-in-law Yiota Troussa, goddaughter Katina Kokologiannis (her family), many nieces, nephews and cousins and extended family and friends in Canada, US and Greece. His brother Ilias (Louis) predeceased him.
John was born in Greece on August 19, 1930, in the cradle of a rugged yet beautiful and ancient land, nestled between olive tree groves, ancient Delphi and the Sea. This landscape and the tragic loss of his father in WWII shaped our father`s hard working ethic and fierce, undying and devoted love to his family. He joined the merchant marines and travelled to the ports of the world, eventually dropping anchor in 1960 in Montreal to start a family. He later opened Maple Restaurant in Chateauguay with his brothers, creating his legendary pizza that many came from far and wide to enjoy. He was most happy by the sea or in his garden, telling us stories of his youth and his travels, playing with his grandchildren or immersed in music, serenading us with his sweet voice and guitar. We love you so much and will be forever and ever in our hearts.
Visitation will be held at:

La mort n`est pas un événement de la vie. On ne vit pas la mort. Si l`on entend par éternité non la durée infinie mais l`intemporalité, alors il a la vie éternelle celui qui vit dans le présent. Notre vie n`a pas de fin, comme notre champ de vision est sans frontière.
